Life can be really hard sometimes and YOU deserve a relaxing break! Yes, you.

I am so thrilled to be able to start offering a space for meditative relaxation to those who could benefit from it.

This beautiful, ancient practice crossed my path through my years of studying meditation and yoga. As a musician, I fell head-over-heels in love with the study of sound waves and the effects of different vibrations and tones on the mind and body.

A 45 minute therapeutic healing sounds session gives you a chance to rest (in your comfy clothes!) on a massage table with pillows, blankets and a weighted eye mask. While you relax, you will be surrounded with the soothing sounds of instruments from all over the world, played with love by me, Miriam Picó Younce of Mindful and Musical. While I facilitate the session, the sounds themselves help calm you down to create balance between the sympathetic nervous system ("fight or flight") and the parasympathetic nervous system ("rest, digest, restore".)

Here is one of many interesting articles about the power of sound and vibrations on the body and mind: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/urban-survival/201907/the-healing-power-sound-meditation

Instruments used in a session include: Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, tuning forks, drums, the Harmonium, and more. It is difficult to describe with words the blissful feeling of being surrounded by these ancient sounds and vibrations...it truly has to be experienced to be understood.

My goal is to help you take time for just YOU. Time to chill out so you can tap into the inner peace and calm that are always inside of you. When we prioritize taking time for ourselves, we are better able to love others!

Mama Bird Healing Sounds can be experienced in a one-on-one session, a couples session (which could be two adults, or an adult with their child ages 12 and over) or in a group setting. Examples of common group opportunities are during the restful period at the end of a yoga class called "savasana" or during a meditative sound healing concert also referred to as a "Sound Bath."
